Over the years, Iannaccone’s desire to find elements in contemporary works that echo those of the twentieth-century Italian realists and expressionists has become a kind of mission. His early enthusiasms, all centered on Italy, include the works of historically established masters such as Gianfranco Ferroni, Piero Guccione and Giuliano Vangi. Over time, his attention has turned to artists especially young talents from the international scenes who manage to presage and translate into their work the contradictions and sentiments of our time. With this broad outlook, the Giuseppe Iannaccone has grown over the years to include the most innovative, original contemporary work in painting, sculpture, drawing and photography bringing promising artists to Italy who range from Raqib Shaw, Kehinde Wiley, Imran Qureshi and Paulina Olowska, to Heernan Bas, Andro Wekua, and Victor Man, alongside other well-established figures such as Matthew Barney, Michael Borremans, John Currin, Tracey Emin, William Kentridge, Juan Munoz, Shirin Neshat, Elizabeth Peyton, Marc Quinn, Kiki Smith, Kara Walker and Gillian Wearing and extending the list of media to include video art, with works by Adrian Paci, Nathalie Djurberg and Regina José Galindo .
